Do I have to wear a face mask?
In light of the latest court ruling and TSA guidance we will not enforce a mask requirement on Go Buses. However, we strongly encourage individuals to wear masks based upon their personal preferences and personal risk tolerance. The CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings. We encourage passengers to check with federal, state, and local heath authorities for mask requirements at their destinations and within public transportation facilities.
What steps are you taking to keep buses clean?
Every bus is thoroughly cleaned and high-touch areas are sanitized every day. Our cleaning process utilizes EPA-approved disinfectants and follows the most up to date guidance.
We have also made cleaning wipes and/or hand sanitizer available on all buses.

How do I board the bus?
For the safety of our passengers and employees we have implemented a contactless boarding procedure.
You must wear a face mask or covering at all times onboard Go Buses. Passengers who refuse to wear a face covering may not be allowed on board.
Please maintain social distancing from other passengers and the driver while waiting to board the bus.
When you reach the front of the line, tell the driver your name or order number (from a safe distance). The driver will verify you are on the trip manifest. There is no need to show the driver your phone. The driver will instruct you how to stow your luggage.
What about luggage?
Please mind your surroundings as you claim your luggage and maintain social distancing from the driver and other passengers while handling luggage.
What about water bottles?
For the time being, we have suspended water bottle distribution on our buses. This will reduce the amount of trash and potential for spreading the virus. Please help our teams maintain a high level of sanitation onboard and properly discard any trash as you exit the bus.
What is closed?
The Go Buses terminal building at Riverside Station in Newton, MA will remain closed until further notice. Buses will pick up in front of the building.
What if I don’t feel well?
If you are sick or do not feel well, STAY HOME and follow CDC guidance. You can cancel your trip online to receive points for future travel.
Effective immediately, all tickets purchased through Go Buses.com or the Go Buses app can be cancelled or changed up until time of departure. GO Tickets will be issued to your account as points, GO Flex tickets will be returned to your payment card. At this time, tickets purchased through 3rd party booking sites cannot be changed.
What about expiring rewards points?
All Go Buses rewards points that were scheduled to expire in 2020 will be extended to the end of 2021.
