Secretary for Transport and Housing Ms Eva Cheng! 邀請行動時間及地點:九月三日,早上 11:00一下午5:00, (尋人 - 運輸及房屋局局長 鄭汝樺女士 ; 邀請進行尖東至天星實地測試 WANTED - Ms Eva Cheng http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=111637028365#/group.php?gid=111637028365, 附屬 "反對遷拆尖沙咀碼頭巴士總站 Say NO to relocation of Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Bus Terminal" 的Facebook 群組) 現任運輸及房屋局局長鄭汝樺,於2005年擔任旅遊事務專員時,在立法會討論撥款興建尖東巴士站的會議上,有議員表示新巴士站對轉乘渡輪市民造成不便後,鄭汝樺回應時說:「(市民)可以好舒服咁由(尖沙咀東麼地道巴士總站)平台花園經過海旁行到天星碼頭,都是一個好的方法」 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH1VrdzL9Ig) Ms Eva Cheng, Secretary of The Transport and Housing, the former Commissioner of Tourism said in LEGCO in 2005 for Moody Road bus terminal fund approval meeting that, "It will be a comfortable (nice) walk from new bus terminal to Star Ferry Pier via the harbour-front. …..' while a Councilor member was questioning the new bus terminal would be in-convenience for the passenger who need to ferry connection from the bus. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH1VrdzL9Ig) 於是,在反對聲音不絕下,計劃遷拆尖沙咀天星碼頭旁的巴士總站都隨著她升任運輸及房屋局局長而展開。新巴士站距離天星碼頭近一公里步程,沿著海濱而行更是全無遮擋,飽受日晒雨淋之苦。爭取保留尖沙咀碼頭巴士總站團體「尖碼之聲」早前曾去信邀請她進行實地測試時,卻杳無音訊和失去聯絡。 The walking distance between the Mody Road bus terminal and Star Ferry Pier is about 1km, approx. 15 mins for a healthy adult passenger under no covered en-route. Passenger expose in all weather condition, the sun and rain! But Government is keen on continuing to demolish the TST Bus Terminal for the piazza project even with over 11,000 reject comments from public arrived at CEO office last month. 'Our Bus Terminal' wrote a formal invitation to the Bureau Secretary - Ms Cheng three weeks ago to have a trial walk with the public to the TST seafront to experience how the project affecting the citizens. Still yet we have no responses from Ms Chengnor The Transport and Housing Bureau office. 我們呼籲現為問責局長的鄭汝樺女士,能鼓起作為向市民負責的官員的勇氣,面對及接受市民的邀請,盡快與市民一同進行實地測試,親身體驗由尖東港鐵站巴士總站,經過尖東海濱步行至天星碼頭是如何對於每日超過四萬人次,仍然沿用著公共巴士直接轉駁天星小輪的公眾,其中句括很大部份的需要穿西裝上班的一族、手推嬰兒車還要左肩一袋右肩一袋的家長、小朋友、長者或行動不便的人士,是否能在趕車船之間「舒服」地享受這全天候無遮擋的海旁漫遊。 We hasten Ms Cheng to face the public and take the responsibility from her speech in LEGCO in 2005, demonstrate the experience how the 1 mile distance walking could be a 'comfortable walk' under the sun and rain for the majority public like office worker who need to wear a suit in work, mother with children and trolley and bags, children or elderly, or any one who has physical disability that need to rush between the bus service and the ferry. We hope Ms Cheng can experience with us, what it means to the citizen for preserving the bus terminal in-situ to continue it lively historical function and normal service as a transport junction for over 40,000 public who is using the bus terminal everyday. 另一方面,我們更亦重申:尖沙咀巴士總站、連同天星碼頭、海運大廈(香港國際遠洋客運服務碼頭)和只拆剩鐘樓的以往舊火車站遺址是見証香港現代發展史已超過一百二十年而仍然活生生的「香港交通交匯處」的歷史現場,我們這唯一謹有重要香港現代發展歷史文化遺產,亦是我們重要本土可持續旅遊發展資產,拆遷巴士總站來興建廣場,對我們香港的歷史保育和可持續旅遊發展都是不必要的暴力。因此我們希望透過我們親身誠意邀請鄭局長和我們到尖沙咀海旁走一迴,進行尖東至天星實地「好舒服」測試!從市民角度去了解公眾為何反對遷拆巴士總站的計劃,見市民所見,想市民所想,憂市民所憂,不要只躲在有冷氣的辦公室而無視民間疾苦。 In our earlier study, 'Our Fading
Daily Life and It's History' (http://www.ourbusterminal.org/doc/tstbt-unesco-paper-ver2.pdf
) has proved that the TST Bus Terminal, together with Star Ferry Pier,
Ocean Terminal (international marine cruse service) and pervious train
station (now only the clock tower is preserved) formed over 120yrs the
only existing original and the first Public Transport Interchange of
Hong Kong, which is one of our very rare complete historical site found
in Hong Kong proving the modernization process of Hong Kong (the study
was invited for presentation of UNESCO Form in Apr this year under the
category of heritage conservation of 'Historical Urban Landscape' .)
Relocation of anyone of the existing transport item will complete destroy
the value of our very rare historical site. We wish with our coral invitation
to Ms Cheng to take a walk with us to 'see what citizen see', 'feel
what citizen feel', 'think what citizen think' and most importantly,
to have more understanding from public of what a violent damage it would
be if the piazza project has to demolish the TST bus terminal . It will
be affecting over 40,000 public daily need of the bus terminal to be
preserved in-situ for their convenient and affordable transport, and
destroy our one-and-only the most rare and still existing lively tourism
